RULES SHEET
U.S.G.A. Rules will govern all play. Please note the following clarifications and Local Rules of Gleneagles Country Club:
- The ball shall be played as it lies.
- The 14-club limit is in effect.
- Cards must be exchanged.
- All play will be from the Silver Tassie Tees.
- Devices measuring yardage only will be approved for tournament play.
Only USGA approved legal equipment.
Players sixty five years of age or older may tee off from the white tee boxes on Par 3s only. However, by playing the white tees, rather than the silver tees, you will be eliminated from the hole-in-one contests.
Out of Boundaries: Identified by white stakes, fences, walls and all tunnels.
Water Hazards: Lateral hazards are defined by red stakes and red lines (Lines precede stakes).
Regular hazards are defined by yellow stakes and yellow lines.
Drop Areas: Considered in Play on Holes #4 and #7 of the King's Course and #17 of the Queen's Course.
Ground Under Repair: Defined by white lines - Rule 25 (To include freshly sodded areas.)
Embedded Ball Rule: In effect through the green.
Gimme Putts: Flagpoles are marked for gimme putts. Ball touching any part of the tape is a gimme.
Mulligans: None permitted In Case of Rain: The Committee will determine how play will proceed.
In Case of Rules Decision: Play two balls, record both scores and refer to the Rules Committee.
All rulings will be interpreted by the Rules Committee and decisions are final.
For the enjoyment of all participants, the pace of play will be monitored.
Sand bottles are provided on your cart for mandatory filling of divots on the course. Please fix all divots and ball marks and observe all cart directional markings.
All woodwork around greens and lakes is played as integral parts of the course, no relief without penalty - Rule 24.
When the cart path interferes with your stance or swing, you may drop to the nearest point of relief no closer to the hole even though an out of bounds marker may be involved - Rule 24.
Any artificial walkways are obstructions. Free drop, nearest point of relief plus one club length, no nearer to the hole - Rule 24.
Gleneagles Country Club is a soft spike facility.
